Water spots, also known as water stains, form as a result of hard water evaporation on surfaces. Water carries minerals and contaminants, and as it evaporates, these contaminants become concentrated and remain on the surface.
Optimum MDR (Mineral Deposit Remover) works best on surfaces that have been coated and protected, where water spots have not yet had a chance to embed into the paint.
Optimum MDR is not an abrasive and should be applied manually using a foam or microfiber applicator. Gently rub the gel into the water spots for 30-60 seconds to allow MDR to slowly dissolve the minerals. Rinse thoroughly and check the surface for any remaining residues.
For stubborn spots, MDR can be applied using a machine at a low setting with a soft foam pad. Use MDR as a lubricant and work on the affected area.
Note: For water spots that have penetrated the clear coat, MDR may not be effective, and those spots will require machine polishing.
